Do you Travel?
I photograph in Dubuque, IA and the tristate area. Travel outside of this area will result in additional fees that will need to be paid in advance.
How long have you been doing this?
Laura Othmer Photography was established in 2024. What started as a fun hobby has turned into something much bigger than I ever anticipated. I get to laugh with and love so many different people because of this job. Check out our home page for more information!
How many photos do we get?
This depends on the package you choose. Details are listed under investment. If you have questions please contact me. Galleries are anywhere from 5-20 or more images.
How do we get our photos?
Album will be uploaded to the website. I will also send a link with a code for you to download your gallery.
Whats your turn around time?
Please refer to your signed contract for this information as this fluctuates on time of year and busy season.
How do we book you?
You can message me on any social media platform but please utilize email to book a session! We ask email is used for a more centralized location to book sessions.
What should we wear?
Wear what you are comfortable in. Dress for the weather conditions. Neutral colors are great and keep photos timeless. Logos, neon colors and clothing with too many patterns or colors do not photograph well. If you need suggestions on what to wear, or how to style your family please contact me.
What is a installment and how does it work?
An installment is a portion of you session that is paid in order to book your spot. This installment goes towards final portion of session due. If you cancel or no show you installment is not refundable and is not able to be used on any other sessions.
How do we pay you?
An invoice will be sent with your contract and is expected to be paid before the session
Can you reschedule?
I am very understanding and know that life happens sometimes! If you need to reschedule, please reach out. If it becomes an issue and there are multiple reschedules by the client, they will be required to pay for the full session before you are able to re-book. Our time is valuable and rescheduling is taking time away from someone else who wants the spot. This does NOT include weather reschedules due to heat, rain, snow etc. that are rescheduled by Laura Othmer Photography.
No show policy
We have a zero tolerance no show policy. If you no show your session you will no longer be able to book with Laura Othmer Photography.
Do you have contracts?
We do! We will send you a contract that you be required to sign along with your installment before booking is finalized. This helps set expectations and protect all parties involved.
Are photos available forever?
All photos are backed up on a hard drive. Once galleries are completed, they will be viewable for 30 days. After this duration, the gallery will be removed. If you do not download before this expires, or need photos to be uploaded again for whatever reason there is a $20 re-upload fee.
Do you photograph events?
I sure do! Since there is such a wide range of events, please contact us for more details! An example of this could be a quinceañera, baby shower, or graduation party you'd like memories captured.
